We're in the middle of nowhere on Saturday : Reporting from Camp Scheideck

As a band we do some backwoods adventures.
Pioneertown, Jerome, Big Sur, Virgnia City and the list goes on. It's something that we both pursue and relish.

But I think Reyes Creek Bar & Grill takes the cake. It's kind of like the West Coast version of the Chevy Chase, Demi Moore, Dan Aykroyd masterpiece "Nothing But Trouble."

Just like the film, the city even has its own recent history with cops over reaching their bounds.

But instead of amongst the toxic waste dumps and spewing factories of New Jersey, it's set in the beautiful Los Padres National Forest.

So that's just it. We're off to Valkenvania on Saturday. Don't even bother bringing your cell phone.

Saturday, May 19
Reyes Creek Bar & Grill, 8pm-close
26905 Camp Scheideck Road
Maricopa, CA 93252
Free!

Beware the deluge and also the sombrero'd coyote of Reyes Creek...
