New Album: Heartache & Sin

My new tunes...
About 8 months ago the great David Roe Rorick showed up at one of our shows in LA, and during the set break he said, "You gotta come down to Nashville to my studio and we'll make a record on you."
I’ve known Dave for over a decade since he was in Dwight Yoakam’s band with Mitch Marine and Keith Gattis. They all played on my first record Wet Dog Man. Dave also played with Johnny Cash for about 14 years or so.
Anyway, I’ve never been to Nashville before and I was pretty excited for this opportunity of a lifetime.
The plan was he was gonna put a band together for me and I would send him demos and he’d make charts and we’d hunker down in his studio for a few days and pound these puppies out.
Long story short, I went to Nashville on November 15th and left on November 22nd with a full 12 song mixed album on a hard drive in my suitcase.
Special thanks to the players on these particular tunes...
Bass, upright bass and background vocals: Dave Roe
Electric and acoustic guitars: Kenny Vaughan
Keyboards: Micah Hulscher
Pedal Steel: Steve Hinson
Banjo and mandolin: James Pennebaker
Acoustic guitar and vocals: Paul Chesne
All songs written by Paul Chesne except:
“I Would Prefer To Focus On Your Flaws” written by Celia Chavez & Paul Chesne
“Takin’ Pills With George Jones” written by Dutch Suoninen & Paul Chesne
Album design by Frank Palmer with font design by Matt Ellis
Cover photo by Mike Windle
All other photos by Stephen Albanese
Special thanks to the steadfast PCB members back in LA:
Jon Niemann, Josh Norton, Rich Berardi, Jason Chesney, Eric Suoninen & Stephen Tegel and all y'all.
We're fixin' to have a proper album release here in a couple weeks.
But in the meantime, click on the link and turn it up loud.
