& 1am Friday night/Saturday morning at the Lumi Lounge.

Good morning group!
I'm writing you regarding a request for a booking for a private, very elite event that will be taking place in July and my boss wants to book a really perfect band for this event since it's a music industry party but he had this idea that he would like to book someone unknown who deserves it. I happened to see you play recently and it truly blew me away. This would be a huge opportunity for you and of course very fun as well as very high paying.
The details in this email regarding the event are not to be shared or posted anywhere online or by word of mouth and I hope you will respect that. The client who is throwing the event is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. I'm sure you have heard of him and he will be here during this period to throw this truly spectacular event for which he is prepared to pay you whatever it takes to get you there. It will take place at a huge residence in Beverly Hills on one of the only properties that have a farm, actually the largest property in Beverly hills. You will be treated like royalty and there will be fine dinning and drinks of course as well as party favors and truly one of the most spectacular networking opportunities for you. I am excited for you as I loved you so much and when I showed him your music he could not stop raving about you. The current pay offer is $6000 for the evening. We would need you there at 2pm as we will be shooting some footage of the event and would like to feature you in it playing one song and then the event truly starts at 6pm that evening when you will play at around 9pm on a really huge stage they will be building outside.
If you have any further questions please contact me. I would need a confirmation as soon as possible as we would like to confirm the music acts first and foremost as it's very important.
DATE: July 12th
TIME: 2pm - 11pm (we would like for you to be in attendance this entire time. You will be meeting guests, enjoying fine dinning dinner and drinks and playing)
PAY RATE: $6000
Should you wish to go ahead then I will have contracts for you all to sign as well as send you all the material for the event like invites, the schedule of what's to take place and the sponsors as well as some of the guest list so you can prepare.

We had several back and forths. But needless to say it is the day before this "show" was to occur and it's bogus. I know friends' bands that were also contacted for this event. It's more of a pain in the ass because it caused scheduling conflicts for us. We are an honest hard working band. We don't need this shit. And you don't either. So musician friends please be warned.
