The LA Fires...

My brother Steven Chesne and his wife Diane lost their home of 30 years that was right near Sunset & Chatauqua where they raised their beautiful children.

They converted it to a music academy where they taught the local kids (and adults) music theory and guitar and piano, etc. It was a loving hub of the community where people gathered to learn and perform and share the love that is music.

They are true stewards of that love.

Needless to say, all their instruments (including his wife's 1893 Steinway grand piano that she bought as a teenager after touring Europe for years as a child prodigy) are gone, and their students are displaced as well as so much more. What a heartbreaking couple of weeks.

The place I first played t-ball, and played club soccer, and smoked my first joint and first kissed a girl. They're all gone along with so many friends' houses and institutions all across LA.

Steve & Diane's daughter Summer put together this GoFundMe to raise funds to help get them through.

Here is the link.
