at? no way!! i'm performing that song on the east coast in just one week! it's one of my favorite's of all time and out whole funk band sings it! :)good taste.
Re:'Don't You Just Know It' Yes, this tune definitely inspires ridicule for 50's Pop "Music"; it truly set the bar of standards to its lowest possible position. Makes me laugh harder--AT it, not with it--every time I hear it!
This needs a hip hop remix! The kids today need this song - back when music was fun and mad u move and participate in a positive way and not in that dreadful'did da hood an all we know hustling and fightin BS - this is what the Dems needed as their anthem and sweep away all the negativity, laugh at them!!
Brilliant sleuthing! Now I wonder if you can help me find a different mystery song from the same era (ish): medium tempo 4/4 (similar to Duke of Earl); starts w/a scat chorus something like 'ah-oo, dooby doo dooby doo dooby dooby dooby doo', then the falsetto singer goes something like 'dum dum dum dum-diddy-dum-dum yeah', and repeats the sequence. It's NOT the Del Vikings, Orbison, jazz or owt else my searches offer so far!

Awesome we'll have to make up some cue cards.
Used to hear this in the chow hall in the Army! Takes me back, baby! Thanks for posting the song.
hmm
Memories of a Vegas run listening to it over and over.
We pulled into the strip singing it like" mad men"! Greatest Vegas run ever!
Bronx tale 😆
Hey oh!
