We have a new sound guy -- American Idol Producer Nigel Lythgoe

Also, We have a new sound guy...

American Idol producer Nigel Lythgoe was enjoying Easter brunch with his family during our set at Wilshire Restaurant today.

The general manager (Jimmy) came over to me and told me that Mr. Lythgoe had a complaint about the music.


I was like, "Who the fuck is that & oh shit are we too loud?"

Then Jimmy says that Nigel was angry that it wasn't loud enough. "These guys are playing brilliantly, but I can barely hear them."

I chatted with Nigel after I turned it up, and he explained his consternation. I told him that "I can't tell what you are hearing from where I am standing, but if you want to be our sound guy then you are hired."

He agreed. So I am happy to announce that we have a new sound guy.

Nigel Lythgoe has accepted this promotion and solemn responsibility.
